How To Join The Academy

Please call the Swim Academy Manager on 075 193 136 52, who will outline what will happen, as a guide the steps below will be followed:

Complete Beginners:
As a result of your telephone call/email, if your swimmer is a complete beginner (of school age), then you will be offered the first available slot in a Beginners Group.

You will be sent an email with a link to your group’s payment page. Please click on the link and make the payment via PayPal. By clicking on the link you are committing to paying for a 12 week course of lessons, however if you wish, you may pay in two instalments of 6 weeks each. It is suggested that be you make your first payment immediately on receipt of the email as your place will only be guaranteed for 48 hours from timing of despatch of email. The second payment can be made up to the end of week 4 of the first 6 week term of lessons. If you have not made the payment for the second 6 week term by this point, you may lose your place in the group, and will still be liable for the remaining payment. You will be sent another payment email prior to the end of week 4 to remind you of the requirement to make the payment.

Swimmers with some swimming ability:
Swimmers who have some/limited swimming ability must have an assessment swim prior to being offered a slot in a group. The Swim Academy Manager will arrange a time for an assessment swim and will then offer an appropriate slot in one of our groups.

Pupils of The Priory Witham Academy – 25% Off Special Offer!

Children attending The Priory Witham Academy will be eligible for a 25% discount off the cost of lessons. Eligibility will be confirmed with the school. This discount is available throughout the duration of the child’s time at The Priory Witham Academy and will be valid for any Pentaqua learn to swim or improver classes attended at the Academy pool. Once the swimmer leaves the school or gets promoted to Pentaqua’s main club structure then full fees will be payable. The joining process is advised above.


When your swimmer progresses to the next group, you will be informed by the Academy Manager and the available sessions will be outlined to you. Should your swimmer have exceeded the standard of the advanced group (Improvers 3) within the Learn to Swim Academy, they would be welcomed by City of Lincoln Pentaqua Swimming Club, to join the competitive squad training programme. More information on the competitive programme will be provided to you when your swimmer achieves this standard.
